SVBR is showing support for the Women’s Freedom Center in Brattleboro.  During the June Membership Meeting, we will be collecting donations to help the center.  It is the local organization working to end domestic and sexual violence serving both Windham and Southern Windsor Counties in Vermont. According to the center, following donations are needed.

1)      Checks made out to the Women’s Freedom Center are best, and are tax-deductible. These unrestricted monies can be directed where most needed – such as legal aid.

2)      Gift cards for everything from gas, groceries, household items, clothing etc. Many of the people served have to flee without any possessions.

3)      Non-perishable food and household items are OK, too.

We would like to suggest that people bring $25 for the cause with them to the meeting if people don’t want to bring hard goods!
